My Chemical Romance (commonly abbreviated to MCR) is an American rock band formed in 2001 in Jersey City, New Jersey. The current members of the band are Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero, Ray Toro and Bob Bryar. Shortly after forming, the band signed to Eyeball Records and released their debut album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in 2002. They signed with Reprise Records the next year and released their major label debut Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004. The album was a commercial success, selling over one million copies. The band followed this success with 2006's The Black Parade, featuring their hit singles, "Welcome to the Black Parade", "Famous Last Words", "I Don't Love You", and "Teenagers". The band also filmed a live DVD in Mexico City, which was released on July 1, 2008.The band was formed by frontman Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pelissier approximately one week after the September 11 attacks. Witnessing the planes crash into the World Trade Center influenced Way's life to the extent that he decided to start a band. Way wrote the song "Skylines and Turnstiles" to express his feelings about September 11th. Shortly thereafter, Ray Toro was called up and asked to join the band because at the time Way couldn't sing and play the guitar at the same time. The first recording sessions were done in Pelisier's attic, where the songs "Our Lady of Sorrows" (formerly called "Bring More Knives") and "Cubicles" were recorded. Frank Iero revealed that the band finished the lyrics to "Best Day Ever" moments before they arrived at the studio to begin recording. The band refers to those sessions as The Attic Demos. Mikey Way, the younger brother of Gerard, loved the demo so much that he decided to join the band after dropping out of college.
My Chemical Romance signed with Eyeball Records, where Pencey Prep and Thursday recorded. While with Eyeball Records the band met Frank Iero, the lead vocalist and guitarist for Pencey Prep. After Pencey Prep broke up in 2001-02, Frank joined My Chemical Romance, just days before the band's debut album was recorded. Three months after the formation of the band they recorded their debut album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, subsequently released in 2002 on Eyeball Records. Despite only joining the band a few days before the album recording sessions began, Iero played guitar on two of the tracks, "Early Sunsets Over Monroeville," and the other being "Demolition Lovers." During this time, the band was booked at the infamous venue, Big Daddy's, where they began to receive mainstream attention. My Chemical Romance offered free downloads through PureVolume and the social networking site MySpace, where they gained an initial fan base

The Medic Droid
The Medic Droid was started in 2006 with Chris Donathon (who is openly gay), Hector 3000 and Johnny Droid. Their song "Fer Sure" gained popularity on myspace, and they were noticed by their former manager Avery Andon who brought the band to New York where they played their first live show opening for Enter Shikari at The Bowery Ballroom and caught the eye of A&R's from Epic Records who would later go on to sign the band. The group eventually made two new songs "Keeping Up With The Joneses" and "FScene8", enlisting the help of Australian DJ S3RL to remix these songs. In 2007, Johnny Droid left the band, due to issues with the other members. After a few months, they hired Storm. Storm stuck with them for a few months, and then left the band in early 2008. The Medic Droid was signed to Modern Art Records, a local Phoenix indie label distributed by Epic Records. They wrote and recorded their debut album What's Your Medium? and it was released June 10, 2008. On December 16, 2008 it was officially announced through the band's Myspace that The Medic Droid has broken up. They have toured with A Cursive Memory, Kill Hannah, Innerpartysystem, The White Tie Affair, Breathe Carolina, Karate High School, Hyper Crush, and The Blackout. They have since hired Greg Rudawski for the live drums.
The band was heavily-influenced by popular culture of the 1980's, having taken their name from a character in The Empire Strikes Back, writing a song based on Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, and even recording a version of the Madonna song Into The Groove.

The band lost two long-time members Paul McGuigan and Paul Arthurs between recording and releasing Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000) and Heathen Chemistry (2002) and went on to record Don't Believe the Truth (2005) and Dig Out Your Soul (2008).

Forever The Sickest Kids
Forever the Sickest Kids, often abbreviated as FTSK, is a power pop band from Dallas, Texas signed to Universal Motown Records Group. They played on Warped Tour 2007 from July 16 to August 10. In issue 228 of Alternative Press, FTSK was named the number one underground band in the "22 Best Underground Bands (That Likely Won't Stay Underground for Long)". Their first EP, Television Off, Party On, was released on July 3, 2007. Their debut album, Underdog Alma Mater, was later released on April 29, 2008.
Formation (2006)
Forever the Sickest Kids' roots date back to the members' childhoods. Marc Stewart (guitar) and Kyle Burns (drums) are stepbrothers. Stewart met Kent Garrison (keyboard) in high school. Then, when Garrison went to college, he met up with Jonathan Cook (vocals) and Austin Bello (bass guitar). For a while, Caleb Turman and Bello played together and called themselves Been Bradley, while everyone else from Forever the Sickest Kids played with The Flipside. In late 2006, both of those groups reached a creative standstill, and Forever the Sickest Kids was born.
"Hey Brittany" and EPs (2007)
While browsing PureVolume, lead singer Jonathan Cook accidentally spent $350 that the band didn't have to receive a front page placement of a song that they also didn't have. For this reason, they went into the studio and wrote "Hey Brittany", then recorded it with their producer Geoff Rockwell in a matter of days. Since it was first posted, "Hey Brittany" has garnered many Internet plays and triggered a bidding war among eight major labels. On April 24, 2007, Universal Motown emerged victorious, and released the band's Television Off, Party On EP on July 3. The releases of The Sickest Warped Tour EP and the Hot Party Jamz EP would soon follow

Later, while in his sophomore year at Manatee High School, Travis Clark started a band called Broken Image. At this time, Hunter, Drew, and Danny were all playing in other bands, but Travis "cherry picked" them to form his band. However due to another couple of bands already calling themselves Broken Image, the name was changed to DeSoto, then, after a lawsuit ensued, to We the Kings. The group began touring seriously while Travis, Danny and Hunter were in college, and they dropped out of college to do so, while Drew graduated early from high school. They completed a couple of tours with Boys Like Girls and Self Against City while still unsigned, and landed on the PureVolume Top 10 list after hiring a manager. The winner would be allowed to spend the day with them on August 30, when they played the Rays game. They were up for several VMAs in 2008, including Best Pop Video, Best Rock Video, Best New Artist, and Video of the Year. New VMA-themed King's Carriage videos were released seemingly to celebrate this fact. However, they did not secure the nomination in any of these categories.

Senses Fail
Formation and From the Depths of Dreams EP (2002 - 2003)
The formation of Senses Fail started with Buddy Nielsen, who in 2002 started recruiting members through an advertisement on the Internet, a year before the formation of the band. Dan Trapp read the article and though he was only fifteen at the time, brought friends Dave Miller and Garrett Zablocki from a band he had played with previously. Later, the bass player Mike Glita, former drummer for Tokyo Rose joined the lineup. The band took their musical influences of punk, metal, and hardcore and mixed them with poetry, emotion, literature, religion, eastern philosophy and spirituality to create their own sound and image. The name "Senses Fail" is derived from the Buddhist belief in Nirvana. Lead singer Nielsen explains, "In Buddhism, they believe that being alive is hell, and the only way to reach Nirvana is to ultimately have no attachments to anything. So, people go out and live in the middle of the woods and they don't eat and don't drink. They just meditate because they've reached such a high level where they're not attached to love, relationships or anything. And if you want to reach the highest level of being and see God, you have to have all your senses fail."
The band began building a local fan base while playing any gig they could find from skate parks and clubs to churches, then soon entered the studio and started to record. Their first release, From the Depths of Dreams, was a six-track EP that was originally released on ECA Records on August 16, 2002. It originally started as two three-song demo CDs, but was later joined together to make one release by producer John Naclerio. The independent release did very well and caught the attention of some record labels. They signed to Drive-Thru Records, and reissued their EP April 29, 2003 with two extra tracks, better mixing and new cover art. This release saw much success, and sold enough copies to peak at #144 on the Billboard chart. In support of the EP, Senses Fail toured with such bands as Finch, The Used, Millencolin, and The Starting Line.
Let It Enfold You (2004 - 2005)
Senses Fail started working on their debut album, Let It Enfold You in early 2004. During this time, lead singer and song writer Buddy Nielsen was 20. They worked with producer Steve Evetts (Saves the Day, A Static Lullaby, Every Time I Die) on their new label Vagrant Records. The lyrics are derived from a wide variety of sources. The title of the album was taken from a poem written by Charles Bukowski, the song "Irony of Dying on Your Birthday" is about the work of mythologist Joseph Campbell, and parts of the song "Slow Dance" include lines of the Dao De Jing. Nielsen stated that, "We just love making music and writing good songs. I feel like I've got a lot more to say and we've got a lot more to contribute. But even if things ended tomorrow, we've gotten 10 times further than we ever expected to get and that makes us feel like we've succeeded regardless of what happens from here on." Let It Enfold You was released on September 7, 2004 on Vagrant and Drive Thru Records. The album has sold over 300,000 copies.
Let It Enfold You saw the release of two singles: "Buried a Lie" and "Rum Is for Drinking, Not for Burning." The music video for "Buried a Lie" was filmed on the set of a soap opera called "Guiding Light." Nielsen's mother shot the video and was also the link between Senses Fail and the soap as she used to act in the show. The release of the video started attracting mainstream success for the band. During this time period Senses Fail could be found in magazines such as Kerrang!, Rolling Stone, Spin and were even featured on the cover of Alternative Press.
The band toured extensively in support of the release. They were added to Warped Tour in 2004, 2005, and 2006, and played on the main stage for the latter two editions of the tour. They were also included on the first Taste of Chaos tour in 2005 with such notable acts as The Used, My Chemical Romance, and Killswitch Engage. They also headlined a few tours of their own during this time with The Early November from Drive Thru and Emanuel from Vagrant.
The album was reissued in November 2005 with bonus tracks and new album art. In addition to the original track listing, it featured acoustic versions of songs from the album, an unreleased track, and a cover of Suicidal Tendencies' Institutionalized.
In 2005, the band's web site announced the departure, by mutual agreement, of guitarist Dave Miller. He was replaced by Heath Saraceno, previously the guitarist and vocalist of the band Midtown. Subsequent interviews with band members made it clear that Miller did not leave voluntarily.[citation needed] Miller started his own record label called DMI (Dave Miller Industries) in September 2006.
Still Searching (2006 - 2007)
After taking a break from touring, and acquiring a new lineup, Senses Fail began to write their second studio album. The new album, titled Still Searching was produced by Brian McTernan (Thrice, Cave In) and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. This album eased up on the aggression on previous albums and showed more emotion. On the subject of the new songs, Nielson explained, "I like my lyrics to be open to interpretation, but I didn’t want to paint pictures of things no one was going to understand; I want our fans to be able to relate. At some point, we all start examining our lives. If you don’t, there’s something wrong with you."
In support of the new album, the band toured on the Taste of Chaos again. In 2006 they toured with the Taste of Chaos International, and in 2007 Senses Fail returned to North America for the 2007 Taste of Chaos tour.
In the summer of 2007 they also participated in a few dates of the Zumiez Couch Tour along side From Autumn to Ashes. They headlined in late 2006 with Saosin and Bleeding Through as supporters. 3OH!3
Sean Matthew Foreman and Nathaniel Carpenter Motte met in a physics class at the University of Colorado. They formed the band soon after. In April 2008 the band signed with Photo Finish Records (a subsidiary of Atlantic Records).
The members were inspired by the underground hip-hop scene and Foreman, then a member of the band Eight Hour Orphans, invited Motte to mix some beats with him. The two were helped early on by friendships they had made with local acts such as Grace Gale, Signal to Noise and The Blackout Pact. As Motte puts it, "We had it pretty easy. We had a lot of friends in bands who chaperoned us around and got us shows, and that was enough hype or buzz to get us going on our own."
The band has opened for Snoop Dogg and Sid Hyet several times. After playing the Denver leg of Warped Tour in 2007, 3OH!3 signed on for all venues of Warped Tour 2008 with the exception of Philadelphia on July 25. Their song "Punk Bitch" is featured on the Warped Tour 2008 Tour Compilation. The band has also played at national festivals such as Bamboozle Left and the Pemberton Festival in British Columbia. 3OH!3 commonly use skits and costumes during their live concerts and are known for their energetic shows
3OH!3's debut on Photo Finish Records, Want, was released on July 8, 2008.
In 2008, their songs "Starstrukk" and "Don't Trust Me" were featured on two separate episodes of The Hills, and they performed "Don't Trust Me" on Last Call with Carson Daly on November 13th.
